Favorite Facials

Today's preppy pursuits post is about ... You guessed it! Skin care!!! We all know that I'm all about the spa days and pampering but routine facial skincare is paramount. So with that said I figured I would share a few of my very fav facials from very economic and very quick to much more indulgent. I love a paper facial mask!!! They are so economic, so quick and oh so easy!! I try to do one at least twice a week.

I also love a glycolic peel like this one from Peter Thomas Roth. Feel the burn and voila lovely skin. Price point around $90 (I got mine at Sephora)

Also this scrub facial from Oil of Olay it's quick, easy, and most of all effective.

I love the black mask from Boscia (along with the whole face regime)

 My favorite indulgent facial mask and skin care line is Sisley.... Ahhhhhh it smells as good as it feels and it's extremely easy to spoil yourself with this indulgence.

And lastly I have one more awesome!!! Fav facial to share with you ... Drum roll please!! Lol!!! It's called cure and it is MAGNIFICENT!!! No pain, no fuss, super simple and super effective!!

Summer Snacks

Fruit infused water!?!????!!! Everywhere you turn you hear this... Am I right? Well it's really refreshing and so super easy!!! You can use a special fruit infuser cup (sounds quite posh right?) or you can use any of your own fav drinking vessels. There really is no "need" for a special cup but if you so desire a special cup then by all means indulge!! (I picked mine up at wait for it... Dollar Tree!!! That's right my posh fruit infuser is from DT!! But then I monogrammed it natch!! Lol!!) Next choose your fruit.. I went with frozen strawberries as they act as ice cubes for me too!! But you can use any fresh or frozen fruit(s) you fancy (the possibilities here are endless girls) 

Then voila you have your very own on trend fruit infused water!!! Oh so trendy and good for you too!!

Did someone say snacks?!?! Lol!!! Well you know I love em'!!! To nosh on with my posh water I have fallen in love with 

Coconut chips!!!! They are scrumptious and as easy as grab and go!! Win/win!!! So these are my poolside/beachside snack recommendations... What are some of your go to summer snacks? TTYL❤️

Fav Frangrances (right now)

This post is fun and easy this is just a quick list of 10 of my fav Frangrances!! I adore all types of scents and this is just a quick compilation of a few of my favs. In no particular order .... Here goes!!

Long Hiatus

I've been m.i.a. for a minute lol!!! Ok, ok it's been a year!! Wow time flies when your having fun!!! I figure the quickest way to catch up is with my "year in review" so here is my hiatusing (not a word but it could/should be lol!!) and I'll be staying in touch on a more regular basis.... I promise! TTYL!!❤️

Since we left off in May here goes June, Connor ran a color marathon, and celebrated his 11th B-day in Jurrasic World style with some besties!!

July finds us celebrating Independence Day and Brittany's 21st. B-day Key West Girls Wkend style!!! Woot woot!!

August has us up the Eastern seaboard with visits at Bronycon in Baltimore, Falconry and fun in Hershey Pa. (Oh you know we indulged in decadent chocolate spa time!!) Cheesesteak challenge in Philly.. Pats/Genos we never can choose a winner!! Lol!! And a lovely visit to the Jersey Shore❤️

September is back to school time so we visited a living history school museum and spent the day in the 1800's with our incredibly AWESOME homeschool group!! We traveled to N. Carolina to celebrate our dear friends Jeff & Nicole's beautiful beach wedding.. Bagpipes and everything!! It was beautiful!! We took a nice weekend in Myrtle Beach while up that way and of course stopped in Savannah on our way home!!

October brought us loads of fun aboard the Disney Dream!! Halloween on the Highseas!! We even had a private cabana on our private island #BeyonceStatus lol!!! My phone loved the cruise so much it decided to stay aboard while the ship was in dry dock for a month!! Yes, yes I left my phone onboard and had to endure with an old phone for a month!! Alas I survived lol!!!

November brings us another beautiful wedding this time Brittany's dear friend and Brit was in the Wedding!! I cried like a baby!!! They will always be little girls in my heart❤️ And what is November without Thanksgiving?!?!

December means Santa, Nutcracker, Disney VACA, and all the family festivities including Christmas Eve at Nana's!!

More holiday fun with a trip to Universal Studios for Grinchmas and a New Years Eve party with family and friends!! Finished the month off at the South Florida Fair with the besties!!

February means Valentine celebrations and a quick cruise to the Bahamas ... Well we HAD to check out all the Star Wars upgrades (that took place while my phone was vacationing aboard!!lol)  and besides waking up to Atlantis never gets old!!

March is the Flower and Garden Festival, St. Pattys day at Raglans Road, Easter and my bro's bday!! Ohhh and voting for our next president in the preliminaries 🇺🇸

R.i.p. Prince💜💜💜💔.............. Connor got an award at the Science fair for his work building and programming his robot, and a fun trip to Hash House a Go Go..... If you get the chance...Go Go trust me!!!

Here we are (finally!!!) it's May 2016 and we just got home from an incredible cruise aboard the Disney Fantasy we went to Mexico, Jamaica, The Cayman Islands, and my fav Disney's private island Castaway Cay❤️

May always means Mothers Day and I am incredibly blessed to be able to spend the day with my Mother, my best friend ❤️❤️❤️ Also we week ended  at Disney's Yacht Club when we got off the cruise... fun in Disney World!! And last but certainly not least Connor earned his Yellow Belt!!! Phew!!!! I did it all caugh up!!! See ya Real Soon!!!

A Few of My Favorite Things

Hey Rosebuds, Just a quick post about ... you guessed it, A Few of My Favorite Things!! Now keep in mind these are not just any favorite things, these are my all time, go to , must have, tried and true Favs!! So with that in mind ... Let's get right to it!!

 Nothing better than a nice warm relaxing bath!! Ahhhh!!

Always add a cap full (or two LOL!!) feel and smells so luxurious!! (girls its got jojoba oil, great for skin)

and I love Dove soap (1/4 moisturizer for soft skin) especially the PINK bar!!

Love to splash this on after a hot soak!!

LOL!! Love this vintage ad and yes girls they still carry this gem in stores (walgreens,walmart,online,etc.)

Can't forget the face!! Ponds is always a good idea!! LOL!!

In my humble opinon, having used beauty products from all over the world in fluctuating price points I still have never found anything superior to good old fashioned Pond's cold cream (and girls our beloved Jackie O swore by it!! If its good enough for Jackie , its good enough for me!!)

These tried and true beauties have long been a staple to many a lovely face!!

After a nice hot bath my fav thing to do is to put on some pretty nightgown and robe set and slippers or "scuffies" as I call them!! I love collecting vintage nightgown/robe sets but I stumbled across a fabulous find at Walmart!!!! Of all places, great price, great product = winning for us girls!! It is their Celestial Dreams Collection (robes,jammies,nightgowns, etc.) and I am in love!! In fact its what I'm wearing as I write this post!! LOL!!

I think they are very comparable to the ones from Vermont Country Store (they have a lovely variety of sleepwear, and well everything!! LOL)

Now we all know that nothing beats a good cup of tea, but with hot weather rapidly approaching I felt it appropriate to mention another fav, since childhood... Rainbow Bubbles!! It's soooooo super easy yet still feels like your spoiling yourself. I use Ginger ale and Rainbow Sherbet, in any glass, any amounts that tickle your fancy, but you can also use Club Soda, or even Champagne!! Think party punch and enjoy it whenever you want!!

Another all time favorite!! Rice Pudding!! Now I know that there are a ton of recipes out there and I also know that Rice Pudding is a very personal taste thing too!! But when I just have to have it and I don't want to do the whole "Family Recipe" thing I use minute rice (according to package) and then add (to taste, just eyeball it here girls) Vanilla Coffee Creamer from the Dairy section warm together either stovetop (for a real quick fix) or for a little extra time (while you hop in that hot bath perhaps?) put it in a 350 degree oven for however long but I wouldn't go more than an hour or so.You can add raisins,nuts,etc. but I just sprinkle some cinnamon on mine and Wow!!
