Monogram Mania!

Hi all!! I've always been completely obsessed over monogramming EVERYTHING!!!

When I was 7/8 yrs old all of my friends wanted ponies (had that) { I will Love "My Romaney" forever❤️} Or Ballet/Dance accoutrements (already had all of the latest & greatest lol!!) sooooo what did I HAVE to have.... Monogram sweaters, monogram interchangeable Bermuda bags, plaid pleated skirts, & "duck boots" !!!! So yes, between Mommy (who always smells of Lavender & fabulous fragrances & who introduced me to the arts & developed a very strong love of these pursuits in even a very small child although everyone told her I was just to young to even remember much less understand!!! Well once again Mom we proved them wrong!!!LOL & I am truly blessed to still have her here with us❤️& Daddy (always smelled of Old Spice,& where I got my love for Trains from❤️), Nana (smelled of perfectly coiffed hair & where I get most of my personality from)& Pop Pop(who smelled of tobacco & pepper mints & who I get my great love of antiques from) along with my Godparents Rose (who trailed wafts of Elizabeth Arden wherever she graced & fostered an obsession for shoes & bags that continues today!) & Merle ( who smelled of his pipe & slippers & who instilled an adoration for a life filled with love & honor ) thanks to these special people in my life my dream of monogram mania was fulfilled, fostered,& cultivated to present day where my darling hubby ( who always smells of Polo, love, comfort & security❤️ & is my very own Prince Charming) continued this tradition by ordering a new car monogram to replace my old one that went with my old car, the minute he purchased my new car!!! Love him❤️ And now I would like to share my latest monogram obsession ... Once bitten twice shy!

My oh my!! I have never been bitten by a spider and leave it to me to find a Black Widow!!!

 

I was fussing around the backyard, straightening chairs and such when POW!!!! The Black Widow struck!!! I knew immediately that this was no ordinary bite. The fang marks, the hotness, the redness, the swelling!!!! OUCH!!! But that's really just the tip of the iceberg.

 

The symptoms that sent me scattering to the hospital were muscle spasms, stomach knots, nausea, vomiting, chills, sweats, etc!!!

 

So after several shots, several prescriptions for some pretty heavy duty meds. 

I was happily home again, home again, jiggity-jig❤️ My hubby feels so bad that I still can keep barely anything down that not only did my fam have a lovely basket of cheery yellow flowers delivered but I got my Valentines Day pressie early!!! .... A NEW CAR!!!! ❤️Now, now it is a brand new car & I do love it ,but don't be to jelly just yet. It is in fact a Chrysler Town and Country yes, yes it's my "Mommy Glamvan"!!

 

At least it's sleek black with every toy imaginable!!!! All kidding aside I know I am completely blessed to not only be fortunate enough to have a brand new car ( the children's limo!!) but most importantly to have wonderful family & friends in my life! Christmas Vaca Part Deux

We celebrated a magnificent Christmas Eve & Christmas Day at home in Palm Beach with our fabulous family❤️ Nana, Kristy, Amy, Dan, Noah, Chris, Brittany, Connor, & I. All the traditions celebrated together from Christmas Eve candlelight service to opening pressies, & fab Christmas Dinner!! Then it was on to the Big Apple!!

Connor spotted an incredible street artist & promptly commissioned his name done in "yellow & orange dragons please" Oh how I adore this boy!!❤️

After shopping Times Square (worlds largest Toys'R'Us natch) and dinner at Sardi's (must do!!) we retired to our room to gaze at our glorious city view!!

The next day was wrought with SHOPPING!!! Fifth & Madison Aves. are always our tradition. After Gucci(scored yummy fragrances), Louis Vuitton(scored a new handbag), Tory Burch(scored another handbag) not to mention that Brittany scored a kings ransom of Jewelry (Daddy is a big softee in NYC) after our retail therapy we headed to Laduree for some much needed sustenance = MACARONS!!!! Sooo delish!!!

Temps were lowering drastically so we had to pick up headwear while on our shopping spree!!

After heading out of the city to avoid New Years Eve!! We settled in our home away from home in our hometown on Montage Mountain!! It's always a highlight to spend time with family & friends, especially my sister Kim & her beautiful family❤️

What else would one do when it's freezing outside?

We celebrated a lovely New Years Eve!!

Complete with roaring fire, balloons, silly hats & noisemakers, pink bubbly, fireworks,

Enter Hercules~storm 2014 everyone was trying to get last min preps ready before it hit!!

So a trip home would not be complete without dinner at Coopers!!!(even the Clinton's & Biden's observe this pilgrimage!!)

And then it hit!!!!

Brrrrrr....

Well it would be nice to say that's where it ended & we returned home to sunny Palm Beach but.... Upon stopping in North Carolina at the fab Outlets our car decided she had had enough & refused to start!! Rude I know!!! Lol!! We were very fortunate to have restaurants, hotels, etc right there. So while waiting for roadside assistance we had dinner, when they arrived they informed us we would be towed to the nearest dealer (not really nearby) and they would not be open until Monday :( This being Friday you can imagine how very thrilled we were upon hearing this. After considering all of our options we decided to hunker down & make the best of it!!

We called Hampton Inn & were very fortunate they had a room available for us... Now to get there?? We asked the tow truck driver for the no. to the local cab co. He then informed us there wasn't any cab co. so I called Hampton Inn back & inquired as to them having a shuttle? Nope! We figured its a really LONG cold walk so we better get started, when the driver said he wouldn't hear of it & offered us a ride! Well needless to say Connor thought this was awesome!! It's not everyday you get to climb up into a huge tow truck!! :0) When Chris spoke with the dealership they offered to bring us a loaner car until ours could be repaired!! Being stranded in a quaint little town in N.C. turned out to be not so bad after all thanks to wonderful people!! 

We enjoyed a few restaurants, saw The Hobbit Movie at the local cinema & enjoyed a charming little town,

When Monday came we waited anxiously to hear about our car..... It was "road ready"!!!! It was simply a sensor!!! On the road again we went!!!! And I can honestly tell you that after being gone from home for what seemed an eternity!!(2wks actually) 

Amen to that!!!!TTYL❤️

Happy New Year!

Well the holidays are over for 2013 all eyes looking forward to 2014!! One of my fav things to do after the holidays is to put all the beautiful decorations away until the excitement arises again. Is it just me or does it appear as though your house has grown since the decorations have been cleared?!? As much as I love the clean open feeling I must also admit that my mind inevitably wanders to all the decor ideas.
